The Libraries - one step closer
We're excited to announce that the libraries are one step closer to becoming active learning centers in Kouya Sidia and Morawaya. Children's books have been purchased in Conakry will be delivered to the villages within the next month. It's impossible to overstate the impact this might have on the children in Kouya Sidia and Morawaya. So...stay tuned!

An Opportunity
For the past seven years our commitment to the education of the children in Kouya Sidia has continued. In order to take this to the next level, a library must be built. A library full of books. If not us, then who? Yet to do this, we need your support.
Kouya Sidia is an amazingly warm and loving village. Explore the images below from our recent trip, and you'll understand why we passionately strive to support them in any way we can.
So what did the funds raised ($2,600) provide for the 140 school children of Kouya Sidia? You'll find this hard to believe!
- 160 school uniforms (mandatory for Guinean schools)
- 180 pairs of shoes
- 160 backpacks
- 480 notebooks
- over 4000 pencils
- 150 pencil sharpeners
- 320 square erasers
- 140 chalkboards
- over 4000 pieces of chalk
- 48 boxes of colored pencils
- 100 pair of girl's underwear
- 4 Futballs
- 2 large, laminated maps of the world
Come get a little taste of the joy we witnessed. Thank you to everyone who is "Guinea Reads."
Gaining Literacy
